My New Fry!

My platy gave birth to 22 platy fry 5 days ago. She probably gave birth to more but only 22 survived. They are so cute. I'll try to get pics on here later. . Also this is my 4th month of fish keeping and I'm hooked. I started out with a 29 gallon then I bought a 10 gallon fry tank then my friend gave me his 7 gallon setup and now I'm looking into a 55 fresh and a 125-150 salt. I Live and love fishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the babies. Hope you have a plan for housing them as they will eventually over flow your tank Craigslist will be your friend.

Yep my friend is buying 5 @ $1 each and I'm giving 1 to my neighbor I plan on keeping at least 5 of the coolest looking ones and then my LFS will give me 50 cents for every 1 month old platy fry.

Once I get that 55-75 fresh I wanted I might put them in there too. Are they compatible with arowanas cuz u might get one if I get the 75 haven't really looked into it.

Just counted my fry again and I've got 21 so either 1 died or I miscounted this morning.

Awww congrats I have 6 mollie fry and i cant evensee all of them to easy with them hideing and moveing about will keep an eye out for the pics

I can't find a camera good enough other than my phone camera to take a quality picture so now I gotta buy an sd card for my phone it might be s few days.

Could anyone see the fry in the pic labeled fry I made a small circle in the top right corner but it's really only an orange blob.

Oh and btw I mixed 2 different colors of gravel myself on the fry tank ( braves colors yea boyee!) and I mixed 3 colors on the 29. Shoulda just bought the petco blue Jean aquarium gravel though didn't see it until a month after I had the tank all setup.

Lol that's kinda what they really look like they're approx. 2 cm at 1 week old and they're a orange blob with eyes fins and and a see through tail.
