My New Fish Tank

Hey guys just bought a a second hand fish tank of gumtree and it is really good. dont know what i want in it yet any suggestions ?

no but there is a minimum tank size. about 150UK gallons IMO. stick to species that get no bigger than 4 inches (or 6 for bottom dwellers

The fact that you want piranhas leads me to believe that you're interested in more aggressive fish. How about considering some African cichlids? Still quite aggressive and much more colourful! You'd have room for these in a 40g tank.

Piranhas are very nice fish, but they require plenty of room to grow. 40 gallons is not enough 4 two fish, not when they can top out at 8"-10". If they are cramped it could lead to some problems with aggression between tank mates. If you wanted Piranhas I would get just one.

what are the dimensions? you could try exodons.

please dont buy pirahnas if this is the case, you will not only be overstocking the tank causing toxic levels and thus killing fish and have bad aggression problems, it is simple its just too small, look up a pair of firemouths or convicts
