My New Betta!

I use vivarium silk plants in my tanks a lot cheaper then spending all that money on aquatic fake plants

For real I love cabomba nice bushy plant Bettas love it :)

I was thinking one of the chi plants then maybe one other type maybe argentine swords?

Any other name suggestions? Or plants?

There's two more but photobucket is giving me a hard time so go look for yourself. The other pics are there too.

Oh wait hold on here's another I'll try and get the last one.

Here he is. Also don't know what tail he is I'm assuming veiltail but I don't know.

Yes, I agree, he is just gorgeous!! Congrats!

If you were interested in live plants, I've had huge success with hygrophilia polysperma in my low tech setup. Easy to propagate, quick growing, nice and bushy too.

Alternatively, some nice green silk plants would look good in there. Perhaps a mix of different heights and 'types'. The chi range has some nice decor, though it depends what look you're going for I guess. Open and airy or more realistic? Looks like a nice setup :good:

I bought the chi hairgrass thing for the box in the middle it looks nice and I doubt the Betta will get cut. It makes the black sand stand out really well :)

i have a 5 gallon fluval chi for my betta, the vine ornament is very effective as well as the lily pads. I have white sand in mine and now looking at your black substrate really wish had gone for that :p

He's so pretty!! I use silks in my betta tanks because of the dumb led lights. Think low tech plants can grow under them?

Oh a pic soon with the grass? Bet it looks great!

Yeah sure. If I have time tonight I'll snap some.
