My New Betta!

Ok well I got my new betta a few days ago, but today was my first opprotunity to take some pics of him. I got him at Petco , because with my expirience, theirs always seem to be the cheapest, and hardy-est and most are preety healthy (at my location atleast).
Well yeah, he was labeled as a normal veil tail, and i just had to get him because of his great color.
Once I got him home and he got to stretch out I noticed, WOAH. He has super delta tail, possibly even a halfmoon?!?! for only $2.99!!
Yeah, well here he is in his new 5 gallon home.
What do you think?

I forgot the most important part, What should I name him!!!!

I've always liked the name Murray though that wouldn't suit your betta. Maybe Duke or Archer? Or even Helios or Apollo?

anyways i think apollo suits him the sun god and the colors complment the name

Yes, this its a Marineland tank. At most stores its around $30-40, but walmart sells the hole thing for $20. And thanks, I really wish all the plants were real, but with the lack of light in the back, I had to put in a few fake ones.

Apollo does sound nice, but im gunna think a little more about it.

And yeah, Petco has trouble labeling tail types. I've seen everything mixed up, crowntails as HM, HM as veiltail, males as females ( ). Good find, contrats!

Wow - beautiful tank and the colour of the betta really sets it off. I wish I had your pet store! lol... in Australia you can get VT, CT and the odd PK sold as a female, and sweet-fa else. Seriously, if you took him to Australia and offered him for sale at a fish auction you would get $50-60AU which would be $35-40US by my best guess, no exaggeration... that's a stunner and really good value!

Good Find! I love it when they are labelled as vts and they are not!! I love it even better if you find a male in a tank of girls...nice and cheap, and young!
