I took the fighter back and I swapped him for a dwarf gourami (flame red). I do love fighters but I think when I upgrade to a bigger tank i'll keep him on their own in my current tank.

I have kept bettas with Platys, Swordtail, Harlequins, Cories....

Just as stated, it depends on the individual betta. Some will be petrified of other fish, some will pay no mind to other fish, and others will attack other fish.

I find that in communities, you will have better luck with Halfmoons and Veiltails. Crowntails tend to be a lot more aggressive the VTs and HM, so I don't recommend trying them in communities.

This is just IME though.

I had a VT which killed everything in his tank and now I have a very peaceful CT So it really depends on the fish.

i know it depends on the individual. I was speaking from my own experiences with the different type of bettas. I had a crowntail that tried to bite me

My brothers show whos boss and then ignores them lol
