My New 5ft Tank Has Arrived (some Pictures)

I got it yesterday and it took ages to built, a man came to the door with it at 10:30am yesterday and we still havnt finish building it (i.e the doors arnt on properly) a friend is coming round soon to finish off the doors, but we put in the water yesterday and i put in the fake plants which it came with today
going to get some slate tomorrow

ive got some slates today and put them in and some fish and tomorrow im gunna put some of my fish from other tanks as overcrowed.

i bought a 8inch pleco and it poo's so much, is their any type of fish which will eat it or something?

im just gunna put normal tropical fish in it

You got the tank Thursday and you have fish in it today?



Have you used mature filter media and mature water in it?

nope, but a person at the fish shop said i could have the fish in it on saturday but it has been running for 3 full days.

You can't listin to people in the pet stores about that kinda stuff...now the fish will have to deal with chemical spikes which can bring about ick and even kill them. Not to be rude but you really should have done more research preiviously. However the tank looks good!

You really need to have it cycling for at least 3 weeks....

However you say you have another tank in the house, take some media out of its filter and plonk it in the new one if you can.
That should speed things up
