do you think that my LFS yould buy 4 neons from me, i do not want them, and they are just taking up space.

they need a water sample when they buy fish right?
cause if they do, my amonia is a little high, does that matter?

I hate my neons too. They are annoying and never school together. Just taking up space as you put it. If your ammonia is high then the pet store might not want them. They could just die on them and they wouldn't be able to make money.

Depends on the lfs

It's pretty funny, I got rid of mine too

Everyone has this vision of a school of neons in a planted tank with driftwood and other schools of tetras when they start, but after a while they realize fish dont school unless you have a huge tank and a ton lol... then you slowly move from "schools" of flashy tetras to misc. weird stuff (me at least). :p

maybe someone who has a tank close to you would by them off you...then you can avoid the hole petstore issue

It all depends on your lfs. Some will buy them, some will give you credit, some will take them off your hands for free, some won't take them at all.

Do more water changes to try and get your ammonia levels down before trying to sell your neons to your lfs.

:flex: I don't think any store will "buy" them from you. Best you will get
is probably credit, which typically will be about 1/4 of whatever they sell
that particular fish for. I would just bring them in to a store that currently has
a tank of neons, tell them that your neons just aren't working out, and ask if
they can just give them a good home. Even if they do test your water, I'm
not sure alittle ammonia is going to cause them to reject your fish. It's not
like they have ich or something.

I think water conditions only matter if the fish has died and you want a new one for free.

I agree - take them to the LFS - you might not get any $ or a store credit, but you can at least get rid of them.

I really like my new Rasboras - they school and are cute and colorful, and small.

It's too bad that these fish "bother" you. If I lived near you, I would give them a home.
