A) It depends on my experience with the 'old' product.

B| No day in particular, just whenever I happen to go.

C) 3. Big Als, Super Pet, and PetCetera.

D) Yes.

E) They cover setting up tanks, but no emergency help services. I think a lot of people could benefit from this - especially if one is not equipped to deal with the situation.

F) I pay for quality. However, I do expect prices to be reasonable depending on the item.

G) Cleanliness depending on the store. Sometimes the floors are wet, tank's glass may be dirty. Many stores don't have their tanks labelled properly, often carrying species that aren't labeled, or are mislabeled. They're very friendly most of the time and thoroughly ensure that customer's have the required space/setup for whatever they're trying to buy.

H) None in particular. From my experiences, smaller stores have limited selections, although they can be high quality. Large chains have huge variety, large quality selections but they do carry a lot of crap as well imo.

A) You go in a LFS, you see an old product which you have either run out of or its died and you went there to get a new one but you see a different product that looks better whether it be better fish or pump, heater, etc........ which do you buy? the old one or the new type?
Depends... if it's an LFS that I trust I would go based off their recommendations, if not I would research first.

B) What day of the week do you tend to shop at LFS?
Weekends

C) How many different LFS in your area do you shop in?
One

D) Do you go into shops to look for new fish species?
Generally no, I usually have an idea of what I'm looking for and stick w/ that. It's always fun to look for new things though, but I don't impulse buy.

E) What extra services would you like to see in your local LFS?
Holiday/Vacation Services

F) Would you buy for quality or price?
Quality

G) What is your local LFS strenghts and weaknesses?
Strengths: Very knowledgable, won't sell to someone w/ insufficient means to house and care for fish improperly, always willing to educate people, will special order.
Weaknesses: Smaller store so less stock, bettas are housed in wee glass jars.

H) Do you prefer large chain store LFS or smaller family type LFS? and why?
Smaller because they have more vested into their business/stock. We all know Petco and PetSmart are NEVER going to go out of business!
