Picked up a pair of geophagus steindachneri the other week. The female was holding already and last week she spat about 15-20 fry.

Managed to snap a few pics with my phone of my male doing his thing...

Such a stunning species, i could dedicate a tank to these fish, they're one of my favourite cichlids

Yeah they're great fish. The female is a little beauty. Although the blander of the two, she has a nicer body shape and a typical geo shape. She also has a nice red coloration starting to come down her face. Really happy with my purchase. The fry are also growing well now and are currently around 1cm.

TRT, they're in what was the mbuna tank, but they have migrated across to the living room tank now.
