My Little Garden Friend....

Your yard reminds me of my yard. Lots of exotic things...

OK!! Then show us some of them......

We don't go out into the yard...it's too scary. There are giant cockroaches and other things. Too scary...

I've got a pic, but I need to switch to the laptop to post. Another lizard.

Here's my lizard. He's even got a little blue like yours, but yours is way cooler.

If something falls in the pool, I'll take photos after I scoop it out. We've had opossums fall in, nighthawks, huge toads, snakes, and while no alligators have fallen in, alligators do live in the canals near by, as do snapping turtles. If I saw an alligator in my pool, I'd be like "too cool", but there is a big reason why ALL of my pets are strictly indoors. I've not seen a python yet, but they are making their way from the Everglades and will establish themselves in cities soon. They are already seen in the rural areas of Miami Dade county. Burmese and reticulated. No lions yet. but sheesh, they keep lions as exotics here, and it only takes one stupid owner...

weve got a hornet hive does that count lol

We have bees and butterflies? (We have a balcony)
Oh and two cat's which we have decided to feed and house

We can't really compete can we, here in the UK  no gorgoeous lizards, no massive spiders, no huge venomous snakes, no alligators, no large wild cats................

Ehhh actually, why am I complaining, they are all the things that would send me screaming into the house!!! :fun:

ps I would love lizards in the garden, but where there are lizards there are probably big bugs :/

We do have grass snakes and adders but thats as good as it gets. I saw a grass snake a couple of days ago that was about 1M long

and theres a adder that lives at a river near me i always see it when fishing ill have to get some pic soon
but still not as good as Ludwigs lizard

Its about 1M. Theres quite a few adders and grass snakes around here. Theres alot near the river because theres alot of water voles thay are huge.

That blue headed lizard is amazing!

We have lots of adders and grass snakes around here, especially in the woodlands and around the lakes.

I was clearing out the grass cuttings corner of my garden last week, when I found 7 slow worms, like mini snakes, really cool.

I found a leech in the stream near me.....
I also found a female guppy!

I'm sad to announce that something must've happened to Meryl as she has not been around for (at least) 6 days.... They have a new batch of chicks, and I can see Arthur is wearing himself out trying to cope on his own.... Some nights, he does not even spend "at home", and the chicks are left on their own.... They are currently about the size of the previous batch in this photo (above)... I hope he just hangs in there and at least carry out his duties untill they leave the nest....

Here he is, on top of the Satilite dish... calling in a very sad tone for his (beloved) Merryl... but she's not around.

Yea Archie's been moving around the garden, finding a new tree to live in every week... I saw him very briefly yesterday when he stuck his head out of this hole, but quickly retreated when I came closer.... I don't know if he is planning to start a family, but I haven't seen any others around (one much smaller female - a long time ago), so I hope he finds a wife soon (who of course - will be called Veronica)

It is rather cool here today and overcast... wonder if his black colouring is for camouflage, or is he feeling off colour??

I'm almost touching him here...

The hole at his tail end is his new home...
