My Little Garden Friend....

the thing with the bird that if you touch them the mom wont take it is false imo ive helped numerous baby birds an the moms are grateful

Lud I think the story about touching birds and desertion is mainly told to stop kids playing with them.

you have to agree baby pidgeons are the most ugly baby critters around

Yup!!!... a face only a mother could love....

OI! Don't be mean to the poor things! It's not their fault! They could get you done for bullying when they go to school!

Caught up with Archie again this afternoon and it is clear that he's not feeling himself today - busy Moulting, so a bit off colour... But really responding to my speech (had a long conversation) and getting tamer by the day....

Had to keep my cats inside yesterday as these two braved it out into the big wide world. By late afternoon, they were strong flyers already and returned back to the nest safely.... They'll probably be back & forth for the next 3 days before they finally take off. Well done Arthur and Merryl..... now for the next batch.

Hi,
I had seen your little friend it is an amazing creature and a good friend of nature and yours so hoping that he will be your friend forever

Thanks!

Well... What is nice about the "arrangement", is I know he is there, and I can observe him any time in his natural state... I do not have to learn how to keep him... he knows how to keep him and he has access to anything he needs to keep him.... Wow!!... Nature is great!!!

Of course I'll be sad if he leaves me and moves to the neighbour's yard, but that is his choice and I will not intervene.... I'll enjoy his company for as long as he chooses to stay... I am hospitable and he is welcome....

Visited Archie again this afternoon and his Moulting is done and he looks a lot more cheerful..... I'm sure one of these days he's going to allow me to touch him

Your yard reminds me of my yard. Lots of exotic things...

OK!! Then show us some of them......

We don't go out into the yard...it's too scary. There are giant cockroaches and other things. Too scary...

I've got a pic, but I need to switch to the laptop to post. Another lizard.

Here's my lizard. He's even got a little blue like yours, but yours is way cooler.

If something falls in the pool, I'll take photos after I scoop it out. We've had opossums fall in, nighthawks, huge toads, snakes, and while no alligators have fallen in, alligators do live in the canals near by, as do snapping turtles. If I saw an alligator in my pool, I'd be like "too cool", but there is a big reason why ALL of my pets are strictly indoors. I've not seen a python yet, but they are making their way from the Everglades and will establish themselves in cities soon. They are already seen in the rural areas of Miami Dade county. Burmese and reticulated. No lions yet. but sheesh, they keep lions as exotics here, and it only takes one stupid owner...
