Ch4rlie said:Nerites, wonderful algae cleaner BUT i would advise, if you can, cultivate some algae on some flat stone or suchlike.
Some nerites are wild caught and won't eat anythng but green spot algae on glass. Thats how i lost my zebra nerite a while back, no algae despite me trying to feed alage wafers
Though certainly some are captive bred and can be fed on algae wafers and vegs.
So therefore see if your nerite will feed on algae wafers or suchlike then you should be ok.
Ch4rlie said:Yup, or could try aramanth leaves snails LOVE this.
Well, mine do anyway as well as the shrimps, usually a battle royal over this stuff

Ch4rlie said:Cherry shrimp moults are normal. Other shrimps and snails may enjoy having a nibble on these moults for extra protein and calcium,
But if not eaten after 24 hours, just simply remove the moult.
One other little note, seems strange but true, amano shrimp moult is hardly ever touched by either cherries, amano said or snails. Maybe it's has a smell it textures that others don't like.
I do tend to remove amano moults pretty much as soon as I see them in the tank
that link I posted btw, I have used them and is pretty good. Snails probably like pretty much the same foods as shrimps
