Hello,
You will have to take him to the vet, especially if he is unwell and shivering. A bump could be anything from a wart to an infection in his leg, that´s impossible to say without even seeing a photo of it, and even with a photo it can be hard to tell. Is he lame at all? You should also keep in mind that this forum is about fish. Also some people here know a lot about other pets, we can´t replace a vet.
All the best for your wee boy :good: And let us know how you get on.

Hey vamp.
Get him to a vets asap!
I know it might not be the same but it's better safe than sorry.
My cat that we had before spike (ginger cat that i used to have) had a lump on his leg and we found out it was an infection and he had to have his leg amputated. He was shivering aswell so i think you should get him to the vets asap! There's nothing you can do except get him to a vets.

Anything like that I wouldn't even bother with a forum. Straight to the vets.

Even with a photo, we couldn't say for sure. You would need to be able to feel the lump to see what it feels like (ie, full of pus, or a solid growth etc). And even then, other tests would be required to determine the condition, like possible x-rays, or taking a sample of the fluid inside for analysis.

You don't seem to be having much luck with your pets at the moment. Hope the cat turns out ok.

Hi well he was just shivring that once time but he have jut been cold but he isnt limping or anything and he perfactly fine to me its just the bump that is solid

Get him to the vets, a forum can´t help here. Even if we knew what it was you would have to take him to the vets for treatment. And don´t wait for the weekend.

Tell your mum to get him to a vets tomorrow!
If the lump is solid it could be anything and would possibly need an xray.

sorry to say where here again...............

you need a vet not a forum if you care for your cat take it to someone who can help (not us)

regards scot

with fish, often times its only the people on the forums have to become vets to deal with them. but fish have reltivly simple bodies compared to a cat. i would get the animal to the vets office because in the end, only they can give you the correct answer

Our cat had to have his leg amputated because of a lump on his leg. It was originally extra bone growth but it became an infection and he had to go to the vets to have it removed but it kept coming back so his leg got amputated. Hows your preggers piggy/piggies?

Yep get him to vets (if he's not already been) they tend to say that soft lumps tend to be nothing whereas hard ones tend to be something alot more serious, hope he's ok
