My old moss balls, around 3 weeks in the tank. They were brown when purchased and now a very nice green:

Also got some Endler Fry, some will be pure, some will be mixed with guppy as i have a mix of females but only the one Endler male

Cheers bud. I split one of the moss balls yesterday, not sure if this was a mistake or not, but it seems ok. also have had to trim the plant things right down already, they had doubled in size!

More plants soon.

your tank is outstanding - i've just got a wee 95 Litre tank, and it's sat empty for days as I just don't know how I want to put it together, but i think i'll be doing something like yours as it looks great! One question (you might have posted already but i never spotted it) what type of filter are you using?

Thanks bud :) really appreciate the comment

I started with a 23l tank, so a 95 is very cool. If im totally honest when i first did this tank i wasn't 100% sure on it, but im getting happier now, espcially since switching to wood. It just seemed to dark at first. I think next time i may go for a ligher background or substrate, but who knows..

The filter is a standard Juwel internal, i have changed the pump to a 1000lph. (It comes with a 600lph). The only other things i have done is change the media round a bit, i have taken out the carbon pad, and added in another cirax box thingy.

Thanks

Good work, the tank looks ace! I'm not one for ornaments but I LOVE (!!) Those little tribal ornaments, they are ace :fun: . Hope the live plants pay off for you (they look great already).

Thanks, the little ornaments are from pets at home

Looking good mate :good:. I want the plant you have in the bottom right corner!

Fry tank looks good, one bright light on that!!

Thanks mate, the plant is something else i brought from pets at home, came on wood too. To be fair, all the plants seemed in better health than some of the lfs round here... the fish, however, are another story.... :look:

Iv had to put some plastic grass on top of the fry tank to cut some of that light out :fun:

aaaiiiieeehhhh!! it's so pretty!!

Right, first things first - galaxy rasboras... I want some, and I was just wondering if they are anything different to normal rasboras? as in more active, need more room etc. I have a 96 litre tank at work and I was looking at 7 of them.

Secondly, where did you get such a cute tiki man? The one that looks like it's laughing with googly eyes :D I have one of your others (the one with the big mouth and triangular eyes).

Glad you went with live plants. I seriously didn't like the thought of it, but I have some weird fluffy tall thing in my 48litre which is only starting to look a bit haggard thanks to my greedy gourami who likes to eat everything he can... and I have xmas moss, java moss and 6 moss balls in there :D I'm going to add 6 moss balls to the 96 litre, and probably some swords... I haven't decided yet.

I love the galaxy's, will be getting some more soon. Mine are fairly active, but im not sure on min tank size. I had 4 of them in a 23l last year, still got them now in this tank and they are nearly the size of my neon tetras, they are all growing very quick. There is a site dedicated to them so im sure it will be on there, just search for celestial pearl danio on google :good:

All the tiki men were from pets at home, not seen them anywhere else, think they were £3.99 each.

And i know what you mean about the Gourami  mine often takes whats not his

Thanks again for the comments :good:

Some new pics

New fish brought today, sold as lyretail guppies. The pics do nothing for their colour, they are a very very bright yellow, they make the neons look dull!

Endler in this pic along with hybrid fry in the pic. Again the camera isn't picking up the bright green of the Endler or the bright silver of the fry.

they look like endlers to me... I could be wrong though o_O

I thought they were P@H tiki men, I didnt see the googly eyed one though... I've just put a load of moss coming out of the mouth of one of mine to keep it underwater in my 48 litre until the 96 litre is ready for it :D looks like he's throwing up green :D

Really impressive tank hun! loving it
