I have just noticed that my two guppies are pregnant! I have just started taking breeding and care of fish as a hobby. This will be the first time ever that my fish have had babies. :hyper: Can you give me some tips on how to make sure that the fry turn out healthy?

For guppies its easy, feed the fish you have a nicely varied diet. When the time comes, about every 4 weeks for a guppy, make sure your tank has lots of fine leaved plants for hiding. Even fake plants will do fine. Some of the fry will survive and if the parents were properly fed the fry will usually thrive because they will have a nice head start.

For the first 2-3 weeks of thier lives, feed them baby brine shrimp and high protein foods, crushed flake, and live foods (small bloodworms is a good treat)

If I were you I'd get a 10 gallon tank, densely plant it and Put the female in. After she gives birth remove her. Then you won't have to worry about her eating babies. Butthat is just my opinion.
