Please help me?? I have several cichlids in a 75 gallon tank. Well tonight I fed them a cude of frozen blood worm's. Well when the cude dissolved there a one piece that was maybe the size of a popcorn kernel that my one flowerhorn decided to eat by herself in one gulp. Now her belly is full and visible full (round). She isnt floated to the top or upside down but shes favoring one side of the aqurium toward's the top to middle of the tank wich she never did before (ive had for two week's). Should I be alarmed??

The fish is full , give her a little time , In the mean time give him a little water change 10 maybe 20 % , that can't hurt .

yeh, hes full.. nuthing to worry about, just means he ate to much, it will go away after a while

Thanks for the replies....lucky62 yeh he's better!! Thanks for the reply and the follow up. By the way what kind of cichlid is that in your reply under your screen name??

Hi luckypenny , Glad your fish is o.k. , the fish under my screen name is actually not a cichlid , but a type of goby , a peacock gudgeon is what I call it , the scientific name is Tateurndina Ocellicauda . They don't get very big , around 2" on the top end .

Well??? My fish looked to be ok this morning but now her belly is still a little bloated. I mean she can swim around fine and if one of the other fish is chasing her around she can scoot but she's still looking bloated????
I tried to wait and feed the fish this after noon skipping the usual morning feeding so she didnt add to her full belly. Now if I walk to the side of the tank shes the first one there ready to eat thinking it's feeding time?

What are some of the sign's of blaoted belly??

Am I just being a little too concerned??
