My First Tank - 60L Sand

When I initially developed this stocking plan Advert for another forum removed told me I was still under capacity. As for the tiger shrimp, I chose them because I liked the look of them but I could just as easily put "miscellaneous shrimp". If and when I buy some shrimp I'll make sure they're compatible with my tank.

No, I typed the name of a website beginning with "Aq" that calculates stocking levels, fish compatibility, water change schedule and filtration capacity and the forum automatically changed it to "Advert for another forum removed". I wasn't advertising another forum at all, simply referencing where I got my information.

If that matters to you most, then it's your choice but I just can't imagine any person that ever kept a fish tank would say you would be under capacity with that stock..... It's still a lot of fish for a small tank. You can do it if it's overfiltered, heavily planted and you do 50% water changes weekly for example.
When the stock is high, the smallest of things can tip it over from a healthy into a problematic tank with mass dying.
 
As for shrimp, check out the neocaridina species like cherry shrimp. There are many colour varieties from them and they are hardier and more forgivable than the caridina species like tiger shrimp.

Added two new platies. I think I will try to find a few nice shrimp and call it complete. I'm still in love with kuhli loaches but if I force the idea on this tank I think I will be too close to, if not over, my stocking limit. That could be problematic for my fish so I will stop whilst I am safely under capacity.

Awesome tank, thinking of adding any live plants yet? I know it sounds like it might be a hassle, but there's some plants that require very little. Youmdould get some anubias, marimo moss balls, and java moss to start.m all 3 of those have basically no needs as far as maintenance, and plus they help with keeping your tank clean.

I am not a huge fan of plastic plants but you've chose ones that don't look over the top. I really like it! Good job

:Thanks: I'm definitely getting some live plants, the problem is my local vendors aren't great when it comes to plants (or maybe I am too picky lol) so I think I'll have to go further afield or order online.
