Well on Wed. the eggs from my spawn on Tuesday hatched and they are now free swimming. A very rough count is over 200!!! I bred show quality Turquoise Blue HM's (well the male is a HM, the female is a spawn sister, so HM in her family, but she's only a ST). So far the babies are doing good.

Today I also brought home a new trio of Red ST's from my Betta Assoc. meeting. 1 Male and 2 females, siblings born in November. So now my Betta family is up to 3 Males, 5 females and over 200 fry, hahahaha.

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow and post them.

Neato! Congratulations!!!!!

Whoa!!!!!! Gratz on the new fry!! I didn't know that they had that many!!! Now I'm jealous, cuz I can't get my dern platies to spawn! Oh well, patience is a virtue....just not one that I have right now, lol. Gratz again, good luck with the babes.

Yes, Bettas can have up to 500 fry actually, although 100-200 is the norm I think. I may have overestimated though as now there doesn't appear to be 200+. I think 100+ looks like the count now. But it's so hard to count, they are so small and all over the tank, Lol. I'm sure some have died but I know 100 haven't, I would have seen alot more on the bottom of the tank than I have, I've only seen an odd one so far that was dead.
