i just had my first spawn yesterday now can someone give me a runthrough of how you guys/gals :p go about your next couple weeks they say its the hardest time but im up for a challenge :)

not the hardest......once fry free swimming take out dad, then feed micro-worms or new hatched BBS at minimum 4 times a day, at 10 days do a water change 50% and clean the bottom of the tank, you can add a sponge filter if you haven't already, then 25% water changes every other day cleaning the bottom every time, and add just about a gallon every time from what you take out.......thats about it.... :D :p :p

Yep, like Bettaman says. Lots of live food, water changes and keep them nice and warm.

Good luck with your spawn

CONGRATS
goodluck w/ the fry
hey bettaman i thougth 2Xs a day was the minimum...maybe i was reading the wrong stuff...

Mine is different than bettaman techniques so I think you better listen to bettaman first and if for any reason that not work for you, then I will tells you mine. :)
OK! Don't forget to updating your breeding day by day and show us step by step. :D

well the eggs were droped sat. morniing now its about 8:00 sunday night should i be seeing hatched fry yet?will update tommorrow when i get home from skool hope it works out

Yes, they should be in the bubbles nest now hanging. if success, you can see a lot of tails hanging down from the bubbles nest. :) Look closely. :)

Did you turn off the light or what? LOL hahahaha Or did you cover with towel like wurbetta told you to do? LOL hahahaha
Of course you can have light but don't surprise him suddenly because he might get shock. Gentle and gentle get the light close to the tank. :) I always look into the breeding tank and all my males betta don't care of me. Oh yes, my breeding tank always have light and I never turn them down. He need to keep picking up the babies that fall down.:) Don't turn off the breeding tank at night. :)

Did you see the tails??? They are pretty small and hanging down.:) Get close or get a magnifier glass. :) If yes! you success the first step! :D They are kind like transparent color.
Make sure you count the babies now how many you got. LOL J/K! :p
