Congrats,rolln  :D
thanks to you and others on this forum...
It was my pleasure, I think you're being a very responsible breeder. You're gonna be a great betta daddy!!
I am trying but I am an amatuer...LOL, when you get time we can chat soon..

Sorry no pics of the fry yet, will try again in a moment...

Woohoo you have babies!!! I'm so proud of the responsible approach you have taken to the whole process, I know you'll do well!

Thanks treefrog,

I am trying to be responcible ;) I already have homes for most of the fry when they get older. Since this is a VTxCT spawn. This was just to see how well I would do rearing /spawning my little friends. Looks like the dad will be a good one he has been tending to the nest and catching the babies, sorry none of the baby pics turned out...... but will keep you guys updated...

I had stayed by the tank most of the night last night watching him catch little children......and was doing maintenance on my other tanks, was it monday already LOL...

Question for the breeders out there. How many of you used egg yolk for your fry?
I will be using BBS (decapped of course) will try egg yolk, I have some egg layer fry food, and coming soon micro worms....I was a little late on the microworm culture.

:kana: Congrats :kana:

Its good to hear that there falling from the sky...... :D

I've never tried egg yolk, rolln. I hear it can be quite messy and foul but I know a lot of people use it.IME, bettas are born snooty and they don't eat anything unless it's wiggling. If you try it, be prepared to clean it up, just in case.

When the fry start swimming like this...... - That should be around 3-4 days..When they beacome horizontal u take the daddy out... :D
