Haven't had a proper planted tank before, and haven't had a tank for around a year. 
 
Started this about a month or so ago now, but thought I would add the pictures I took throughout to document its progress.
 
Tank when I first got it, £20 ebay bargain
 

 

 
New Stand from LFS, marked up at £65, but as it was the last one of old stock and the box was ripped I offered them £45 and they accepted.
 

 
Added a new black gloss background
 

 

 
Bought 2 bags of black fine gravel
 

 

 
After loads of washing, added to tank
 

 

 

 
 
 

My first lay out, but I wasn't happy with it so started again

Its got an APS external canister filter with course sponge, ceramics and filter floss and a 600lph internal filter with course sponge.
 
No heater atm and its at 24-25c.
 
50% water change weekly
 
Adding Easycarbo Profito weekly and Easycarbo daily
 
Lighting is Hagan T8 6500k, 8 hours daily on a timer
 
25-30 Danio Erythromicron
10 Normans Lampeye Killfish
2 D.Gourami (to be re-homed)
3 albino Cories (to be re-homed)
1 Longfin Golden Spotted BNP
1 Assassin snail
 
Hoping to add 8 Pygmy Cories when I have re-homed the others

Yea Im really happy with it, first time I have actually got anything to grow properly, but I wouldnt of been able to if it wasnt for the help of the guys off of here, esp Byron.

Java fern
Anubias nana
Cabomba
Crypt beckettii
Ludwigia repens
Crypt of some sort
H.Leucocephala
any another 2 that im not sure of.

Well today I rehomed the DG's and the albino cories and got 2 otos and 8 pygmy cories. The cories are sooooo cute!
 
The stock atm is
 
25-30 Danio Erythromicron
10 Normans Lampeye
8 Pygmy cories
2 otos
1 BNP
& 1 hitch hiker RCS
 
I have got diatoms so the otos are well happy and hopefully things will settle.
 
I have added 2 moss balls and have some java fern windolev and moneri to plant.
