My First Betta...

Was actually my boyfriend who wanted an aquarium in the first place, and I spotted this gorgeous boy! So, I have my own tank with the betta and he has his with an assortment
He doesn't seem to be agressive, and is pretty friendly towards us by swimming to the front of the tank if you go up to it etc.

Was wondering if anyone could estimate an age for this guy? I bought him about 6 weeks ago, and his fins were quite small. He's grown a lot now over the last few weeks though.

Nice looking fish, I picked up my first betta today and am realy glad to be in the club so to speak.

Sweet looking fish. Just like the last fish i bought for my gf, but he has a bit of crowntail/combtail going on. those dont look like rips at all. SICK!

edit: oh age! he looks a bit on the younger side to me. no telling for sure. i'm not an expert on this site, but i would consider myself versed in personal experience (no breeding and lots of research) and he looks to be around 1 year
