Just wanted to share this picture of my new angel fish that I picked up from work today, who's a little baby at 2-inches  . I love this fish, active but still slow moving enough to get a picture!

Also, here's my female dwarf gourami I also picked up from work two weeks ago, she's so active and fast I've still not managed to get a clear picture, this is the best I can do. She just wont sit still  . She's the first healthy dwarf gourami I've ever had without DGIV. She was in the shop for at least two months on her own because all the other dwarf gouramis died/were bought, so i knew 100% she was healthy :good: .

And to finish, the only other fish that sit still long enough for a picture, my marbled hatchets:

Btw, for anyone who's wondering, the lighting in my tank really is that colour - It's a two year old tube that gave out a pretty red colour to begin with..
My low-light plants don't seem to mind it anyway.

Love the pictures of your fish and I like the effect your light has. Looks good! :good:

I am in love with your angelfish, hes/shes very cute and the little marbled hatchets are so cute,

Thanks :D .
Now that you mention it, does anyone know how to tell the difference with angelfish? I'm guessing he/she is still too young to tell anyway though.

You can only really tell when they are breeding and there little sex organs come out (i know this is really basic). The females is blunt and the males is pointed. So unless he/shes part of a pair and breeds its very difficult to be cretain about the sex of them.

Ah right thanks :good: , well I don't intend on risking trying to get a pair anyway so I guess I'll never know...
My mum seems to think it's a girl so i think that's what she/he's going to have to be for now  .

i like your marble hachets there cool i like mine 2 :)

three-fingers, nice pics mate. I like the Angel and Hatchet fish pics the best. Really nice with the tannins and plants. As you say it's a little blurry with the gourami pic. When you get a really good one then be sure to post it so we can all

Thanks people :D. I'll try to get some more pics soon, I really should be studying for my french prelim (tommorow :( ), but my plecs out (very rare for him to be active during the day) so i'm just going to have to take some pictures now...

So a little late updating due to studying for prelims (and I have another French one tomorrow :( ), but here are a few more pics :) .
Finally got one of my plec:
