My First Adventure In The Salty Side!

Yes, nice looking monti, they grow quick under the right conditions. Tank's looking good :)

Thanks, I cant seem to get my camera to show up the colours very well. Any tips on how I can take better pics?

Look up isopods - fingers crossed it isn't but I have a horrible feeling!

Cheers mate, im really happy with the way it is coming along. Unfortunetly I cant seem to gte my camera to show up the true colours of the corals. Na mate, your tank looks good. You still upgrading?

I got myself a bargain tonight. I collected 10kg of live rock of a reefer in essex for FREE! thats right, FREE! It is in a holding tub at the moment. The plan is to set up my 2ft FW cube as a reef tank. Sooner than I expected to but I couldnt resist a bargain like that. Im well happy! Updates will follow, im not quite sure when it will be. Ha ha, already got the bug!

James the isopod you removed is a parasite that feeds on blood, your fish or your hand!!!! They are nocturnal, as soon as the lights go on they drop off the fish and hide in the sand. Lets hope you were lucky and there was just the one that you removed, however, where there is one there is usually more- so monitor your tank closely at night. If you do find more I'm afraid the only course of action is running your tank fallow for six weeks, so they die from lack of food.

Sorry, for the bad news, but fingers crossed for you
