my fire eel died today.

had'nt seen him for about 5 days,checked everywhere.found him stuck inside of my hollow tree root.he'll be greatly missed as he was my first fish.

So sorry to hear that. Had he died cos he got stuck in the root and couldn't get out? Or was it old age?

no,he got stuck.he was an exception to the rule.he was approx 12" long and for the first year i had him,he lived in a tank full of small neons and never ate one of them.only one person i spoke to said"fine,no problem in with neons,he won't eat them" everyone else said he'll eat them all.so sometimes,fish that are'nt supposed to live with each other,can.he was 1 in a million.
