My Duo 1000 Tank...

I managed to get this tank on ebay for 150 quid together with a fluval 204 and a 304. Its decorated with bogwood and a big lump of slate.

Its planted with afew placcy plants and afew real ones. You can probably guess which is which.

Its cycling at the moment.

I'd have put a few taller plants to the left to hide the heater etc more but still very nice

Yeah ive got one of those hagen Co2 thingys arriving tomorrow and im going to put it in just before i go on holiday. The plan is that when I get back the tank will be a flourishing underwater forest

What volume of water do you have in that tank.....it looks nice and large....?

I *think* its 160 or 180L. About 40-50gallons.

Very nice! I have a duo 800 planted and it looks very similar, apart from I have silver sand substrate. One thing I would personally move that wood thng from the centre and offset it to a side so it looked less staged, otherwise, very nice tank!

i think you are a little bit mad drilling a hole in the cab to take that wire throw as that is a main part of the cab and stops the tank bowing in the middle #

it would have been safer to take the wire out the back board

if water gets on any of the holes you have drilled the whole cab is going to turn to paper

I just realised that's the same as my main tank!
Although my tank has alot of rocks, plants and wood in so I do not have as much water in as you. Maybe 35-40g
