My Domino Damsel Is Dead

Yesterday i got a domino damsel and a 4 stripe damsel. I went over to a friends house and when i came back the domino was dead. I want to know what the problem is so it doesnt happen again.

How did you acclimate the fish? How long has the tank been cycled?

What are your stats e.g ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH etc? Also how big is the tank?

Try asking in the salty section - it is a very different ball game than what we deal with I am afraid.

Most damsels are very aggressive fish. Dominos and Four stripes happen to both be very aggressive ones. It may have been bullied, which one went into the tank first? It may have claimed the tank as its territory and attacked the domino when it went in.

I have do agree with Cfc on that one.
