I would be careful with female bettas. Many people talk about sorority tanks, but in the past few months I have had 2 accidents with very agressive females. The first time, I was on time and took the culprit out. She was staying on her own while the other bettas recovered. And just 2 months later, another of the females wreaked havoc on the other 3 but in such a way that all 3 died from their wounds... All females were halfmoons so no where closely related to the wild bettas which are more agressive.
It was war; I have never seen such a thing before...
