I've posted pictures of my tank before, but here's how it looks with upgraded lighting and a half decent blackground. I've moved away from the neon blue I had before, and this just seems a whole lot more natural.

6 wild Acei
5 wild Labidochromis Caeruleus Nkhata Bay (white)
4 wild Minos Reef Maylandia Estherae (blue male orange females)
1 OB Maylandia Estherae female
2 wils Melanochromis Labrosus

7 F1 Petricola

My little Saulosi we're causing havoc so they are on time out at the moment. Soon to be moved on due to their aggression and also because of my desire to go 'all wild'. Twoing and Frowing with the idea of replacing the F1 Petricola with wild Njasse, as I'm picky.

4 Melanochromis Dialeptos, 4 Fuelleborni Chindunga Rocks and 3 Malawi Eels to be added next week!

Next stage is to get some more FX5 hose and hide away the inlet and outlet tubes around the sides and not the middle.

Any comments on the fish selection or background?

Comments appreciated.

Looking sweet. :good: The background looks surprisingly natural so great choice there and the idea of moving the filter inlet/outlet should be the finishing touch. :)

Got to fins something for the Malawi Eels to live in now. Never kept them before but the picture I got sent of the ones I'm getting are here.

Oh! those are lovely eels. I know nothing about them, but they are great looking. Are they wild? They act like they like their keeper. :)

really cool rock alignment

if i had a mbuna tank then it would be pritty much like yours

the only thing i would add is a couple of anubias inbetween the rocks

looks great :good:

Yeah the eels are wild. I'm just trying getting the seller to get them onto frozen foods as opposed to live. If he can break their resistence they'lll be mine on Wednesday!

I take it there Aethiomastacembelus Shiranus ,dont forget you have to feed these seperate to the fish otherwise you my get malawi bloat.

The fish from paul by any chance.

Yeah they're Shiranus. Yeah I'll be feeding them by hand hopefully, and completely seperate from the Mbuna. Paul in Cannock? I know he has some but I'm getting mine from natural world. A little bit more expensive I think but I've got them off him before and he goes out of his way in the customer service stakes to do things right. Bit of loyalty i suppose, but I know they probably came from Paul anyway!

Yeah paul from cannock. Thats where i get my fish im slowly going over to all w/c, has colin got his new stock in ?.

No not as yet, early next month I think. His new stock was around 2/3 weeks ago. Next due in a few weeks I think.

You will have to let me know when they breed :D .

It took mine about 2 months just had my first f1 fry last night

im interested in the malawi eels.ive been looking for some to go with my malawi.any info?

I think you'll find the eels will find lots of hiding places amongst the rocks, they also like to bury themselves in the sand so i don't think you'll need anything special.
