My Channa Assam

cheers Dave and Karl

Karl whats happening with the snakehead forum do you know?

I'm hoping to make a concerted effort to breed my channas this summer so will sort them out with another tank of their own in the summer with cooler temperatures. Now there bigger and fatter they may get on better

I didnlt realise they got as big as 18cm!!! thats a surprise

The SnakeHead forum is running well I will PM you the link as I have not had permission off of William to post the forum link on here yet. I have asked though.

Cheers, Karl

got that cheers Karl is this the same site that went down run by Uli?

to be honest a dont know what happened to the characin. It just started going mad while i was cleaning the gravel. It started swimming round fast n had what looked like a fit and died. I loved that fish! Not the same without it. It was shy at first then after a few months came swimming around more and then started eating from my hand (and stealing food from the hujeta gar!) it was very bright pink even pink and gold on the body! Want another but dont want the same to happen again because i cant stop regular maintainance especially with the fish i have! I just dont know why it happened now, after about 8 months! Anyway im stil trying to get a good pic of the 1 bleheri i have left! Seems to be a little camera shy!

Dave

the two assams in the pic are bigger than the others, would you suggest its due to their dominance? thats the conclusion i came to. the others get just as much food and are perfectly healthy and have observed a lot but they never seem to grow! ( slightly but not like the pair).
