has anyone ever thought to do that though? make the aquascape look like its actually on land and with crystal clear water, the fish will look like flying birds

isn't the tree a piece of wood with some type of moss growing on it in such a way that it look like a tree? No way is it a plastic tree! You could always buy some dark fine gravel, then it would a bit like soil with fallen leaves on top. Could also (just an idea) buy some crushed clear quartz suitable for aquarium use and fashion it into a river underneath the bridge? Now that would look cool!

Thats not a tree, it looks like a root upside down with either Java Moss, Xmas Moss or such like growing on it and pruned and trimmed to mimic a tree
