MY BETTAS ARE SPAWNING

Not tremendously obvious. You'll have to shine the flashlight on the nest at an angle, and you should see little tails hanging out of the nest.

Of course, it's entirely possible your male ate them all. Mine have a nasty habit of waiting until the eggs are hatching and then eating EVERY SINGLE ONE!

The male will eat the unfertilized eggs only. I check all my spawn and all the male clean up the tank real good.
Here is my Chilli red halfmoon cross with her own DAUGHTER. LOL Only about 40 babies and all the unfertilized eggs been eat up by him. I saw the female twize the wrong side and her oval shoting out the eggs like machine guns. I do have a pictures to proof it. LOL

Beware of some males, though. Mine will wait until they're literally sprouting tails, wiggling, and falling out of the nest to eat every single one.

Most males, though, will just eat the unfertilized eggs. I just have a nasty habit of picking out the egg- and fry-eaters.

So...have you checked the nest yet? We really want to know!

yep there is still no fry hatched so i will destroy the nest and start again??

at what point during spawning do the males fertilize the eggs

I would leave it till the weekend i had a pair spawn had eggs thought they had not hatched but they had and the fry are very small, not like you can see them like a guppy fry and if they are transparent then you wont see them, just be patient if he is still grooming the nest then i would say there is something for him to do that but if nothing by Saturday then just take him out and give him a good feed for a week...then start again....

i would still wait and look aroung the glass for the fry in case you have missed them they are tiny.......little beggers......

Tap the bubble wrap with the rubber end pencil and see any babies falling down. Sometimes the babies are hiding well in the bubbles by the father. He knows you always looking at them and that is why.

i apped it and all that fell down was 4 eggs and the dad didnt even pick them up so i destroyed the nest and i will try again :/ :/

Try again next time. Makesure temperature is set to 80 to 81 degree F. Are you breeding crowntail? Water is 7.2 PH. Any indian almond leaves or black water solution? And you need to fed the female at least three weeks before breeding again unless you got another female. If you in USA, I can let my breeding pair for you. Too many to breed for me. LOL
