Hey,
New to the forum, as promised here's a few pics of my personal pride and enjoy.

Here's when I first got him (mid-end of may 2013), he was 6.5-7 inches long. Still silverish...

Once settled down, he ate perfectly feeding on mainly mealworms and blood worms, prawns and mussels.
Only down side is I spent £20 on dry food sticks and try at least to get him to get some but he just doesn't like it at all.

Now he's grown a good bit, (end aug start sept) he's now 9-9.5 inches long now:) he's got a lot darker and more red which is good.

Here's some of his friends too:) at first they didn't get along as well and I was getting worried and kept a close eye on them making sure they do not fight.
Now there all best of friends which am pleased about.

im hoping to soon(by the end of next summer) have a 6 foot tank with either cichlids or a couple of beasts lol

Nice fish!  That big guys a bit scary though! lol :p

Thanks for all the kind words,

Custom tank is on its way too so once the tanks here and all set up il post up more pics of full set up.

6x2x2 is what am goin for.

Tonight, coming back from work, I alway check on the fish to make they're ok.

The aro tonight, decides to jump and hit its head on the bit of support glass and cracked it:/

Because he's hit it so hard, 1 big scale has came of at the top of his head:(

Does anyone know if that scale will grow back in time? It's just a white odd patch at the top just now.

Alex

Yes it will grow back..just same procedure with keeping water in top condition. Don't think they blend in as well if memory serves me right :/
