My 735ltr Marine Aquarium

Just installed the RO Unit OMG it goes slow. I am finding it hard to believe it will knock out 100gpd. Is there meant to be a constant flow coming from the waste pipe also???

yer usually the waste comes out faster then the pure. i have a 50gpd one but tbh i only do 25 litres once a weeek or 2 so like aint too bad saying that... for 25lts of pure ro its like 60 liters of waste no joke.... and i have enough pressure for it to work n all!

Thanks United Utilities im not on a water meter :D three chears for set rates.

Well once I get the initial 750litres it should all be smooth sailing :)

Hi David

Rememebr to Flush & dump the 1st load of RO

Ok I have managed to accumulate (spelt wrong) 2 black bins full of RO Water since this morning (thats 160 litres).

I have a question and am trying to keep everything in one thread so I don't annoy anyone.

Given the size of my tank and volume (200x50x70 735litres) what selection of fish could I keep together. as I am ok at matching tropicals but no so good with marine as I am very new.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated, I am looking for a wide variety of colour and activity :)

p.s. let first 8 gallons go down drain :)
p.p.s I am not planning on getting them any time soon, just day dreaming really :)

Sorry David but your the only one taht can decide on what you wanna keep & we can assist as to if it will be suitable/compatible or no

Look at Live Aquria for some ideas of the fish you like

Also remeber there are loads of of livestock you can keep Inverts, corals etc.

yer best thing to do is get your tank setup then in that time start thinking of livestock, as you have got such a wide choice it shouldnt be too hard except the reef safeness or compatability. try this site also

Just looking for some ideas really I understand ultimately it is my choice but it's like with anything you get (cars, houses, girlfriends) you like to look around and see what other people have aswell :)

I personally would be inclined to add an odd number of Yellow Tangs - then would make a excellant Bold addition
yAnthias make nice shoaling fish (1 Male 2 - 3 females)

What about one of the Larger AngelFish

I took your advice and looked on the site I like your suggestion and was thinking along those lines though that chart said keep tangs together with caution :/ . Was looking at the dwarf angels because of the compatability of the larger ones, see I don't know how much caution 'C' means :/

Think I might have to get a pair of clowns also as my girlfriend likes them (for the forbidden reason that I won't mention) :)

3 or 5 YT's together would get along fine

:good:

Dwarf Angels are generally good natured depending on the species

Yeah I'd totally have an anthias school too. They're absoloutely stunning fish IMO and very much reef safe.

Just had a look at anthias, very nice colours will deff consider them when the time comes :)

Managed to get 160 litres in tank so far and I got another 200 litres sat in black bins :)

lol slowly getting there! Yer they are nice fish i herd once u need to get them used to the light as they swim quite deep in the sea so there.
