That's a very beautiful fishtank, how do you get your pictures to come out like what the person said... Mine are blurry to and I have a 2.3 what ever digital camera...

Thanks all,
The camera is a cheap ($150.00) vivatar from walmart.
I took about 50 photos just to get one good one.
Room lights off, angled to the front of glass, flash on,camera rested on something
to steady it.
You can still see the reflection of the window in the tank, next time I will try
covering it up.
Also I cleaned glass inside and out very well then let water clear first.
Thanks for the kind words.

The fish are called MELANOTAENIA BOESEMANI (Boeseman's Rainbows)
They are still young and at about 1 yr they get their true colors.
They are a great community fish and very colorful. LFS had them for 14.99 a piece
I think they are all males but Im not sure, dont know that much about them yet.
The males are more colorful when mature.
They had 3 mature males in their own show tank that were amazing, but not for sale. Mine were in another tank and if I didnt see the same name on them I would of never guessed they were the same fish.
After about 2 months in my tank they have gotten alot more color.
Hopefully they will come close to the others Ive seen.

Anyway sorry to go on and on and on,I just find this hobby amazing in every way!!

No problem! I am with you! Fish are the best pets to have......they never pee on the floor, never scratch your walls, never wreck your furniture and never talk back! (my cat Frank does all the time!!!)

I have an alright FujiFilm 2.0 Digital Camera right by me, but I also have my 2.3 forget what it's called in my room "digital camera"... I'll try what you suggested... btw could we get different color of lights? or how do people get that Blue light in their backround or what ever it is? I would like to know how people get that Blue waterness in their tank? If i'm not making sense try to make it sound like I'm making sense in your own words then answer the question :fun:

I try to get the water on top in the photo from the outside facing up a little, for some reason the movement there reflects onto the blue background and looks cool.

Im not a photographer by any means, someone here may be able to help you out with the real way to do it.

I just take hundreds of photos until one looks good, then I usually forget how I did it

This one took about 45 trys to get, hope you have luck, try posting one,Id love to see. You can use this thread if you want.
