They are some seriously wacked out fish! They are awsome non the less though! :p
Do they thrive normally, or do they recquire any special treatment?

as with most loach species, a fast current is prefered and of course sand too.
other than that no special requirements.

Nice Loaches, Wolfie. :)

I like the Horse-faced Loach! He (or she) looks like he (or she) has a very cute face.

Thanks Comet; they are a stunning loach to be sure,
still camera shy, but I'll keep trying to get a shot of them in the tank.

Nice Horsefaced loaches :)

They only sell them one place around here, hard to find.

We have 1 horseface loach left at work that has been in the tank for ages, I may well take him to stick in with my other loaches in the 50Gallon. We also have a Pakistani Loach hiding in one of the tanks, i see them around but i can never find them when someone actually wants to buy them lol! Horseface loaches are lovely fish though, really characterful looking fish!

They are temperate, enjoy temperatures of between 18 and 22 degrees although can be acclimatised easily to tropical conditions, usually as they spend most of their time in the gravel where it is cooler anyway..

I bought oneabout two months ago and put it in my community tank - haven't seen it since :( but I'm sure it's still alive coz there's no body anywhere and nothing in my tank is capable of eating it (I hope)

Aren't Horsefaces coolwater fish?
are they?
fishbase has them as tropical :dunno:
well I could always put them in the danio tank, which runs at 25c

They like burrowing in the substrate. I'm sure yours are there and only come out when you are not looking :p
