I've tried feeding peas to my fish several times. They do seem interested, and try to eat it, but they're to small to take them in in one go, they keep nibbling till they get bored.

I boil them, then let them cool and crush them as much as i can, but there are still chunks in there....

Any help?

Cut them up or squash them with a teaspoon.

I just put mine in some very hot water in a cup for a few minutes and then crush them between my fingers and drop them in. They seem to break up in very small pieces and the fish tear whats left to bits. I shell them after putting them in the hot water.

Maybe the boiling could be overcooking them ?? Not sure.

I find that just the hot water softens them enough to squash.

When I feed my platys frozen peas, i get a test tube and fill it with tank water. Put the pea in for like 5 minutes, swirling it round every minute or so, then simply shell it, squash it into a few pieces in my fingers and drop it in

It's gone within minutes!

Well that's pretty much what I do, but they just don't seem to be able to eat it.

I put the green peas into some boiling water and leave for a few minutes. Then I remove the shell and drop the halves into the tank. It takes them a while to eat all of them but its all gone in the end.

Thanks guys, I like the garlic crusher idea :D .
