Moving Tanks and Fry

The strangest thing yet is that this seems to only be affecting guppies, not the Platys. This morning I found two guppies dead, so there are two left. The Platys don’t seem bothered, although I’m sure they’re stressed too. Unfortunately I’m at school, and I’m worried about not being able to watch them.

I tested it before I left this morning it was the same, totally normal.

I’m sorry, I’m trying the answer the best I can. I’ve done two water changes since this problem started. One early yesterday afternoon, and one later last night.

It is normal for fish to be stressed like that, given the current situation.

Turning off the light, and/or draping a blanket over the tank will reduce stress.

It's normal for them to be a bit stressed from a move, that's a very stressful thing. But not normal for them to be fin clamped and sitting on the bottom like in the second photo of the OP, not dying or swimming the way the guppy was in the follow up photo Something else is going on, but OP hasn't shared water test results or how much water she changed, any other useful info to be able to help determine what might be happening.

I'd guess water parameters are bad, or poisoning of some sort.

With losing the guppies I though maybe the cycle crashed with the move. But if results are all normal then I don't know why they sudden decline.

Wasn’t aware that the fish had fin clamped fins...

Clamped fins are caused by poor water quality. Perform large daily water changes for a week.

I did an 80 percent water change, twice. I believe I’ve said multiple times what the test results were, ammonia and nitrite 0, nitrate 15.

That’s what it appears as, but the test shows up as normal. They were fine one moment (as far as I could tell) them dying the next.

What do you recommend I do to help the remaining fish? Please let me know if you need more information to come to a conclusion.

It's okay, sorry for getting annoyed, it's just frustrating when you want to help and can see that the fish are suffering, but can't get the info. I know it's easy to forget though, especially when you're panicking.

I'd keep up large daily water changes, in the hopes of reducing whatever is in the water that's stressing them. Make sure nothing can be getting in the water, like a plug in air freshener or something, and that no one is spraying any cleaning chemicals in there.

When you moved them, did you put them in a new tank? Or clean out their old tank or anything? Move them a different room or area? Has the temperature remained the same? Did you add any new decor, plants, fish or anything?

Any other symptoms of illness? What are the fish doing now, still clamped, gasping? Is that one guppy still swimming weirdly, or did he pass?
