Hi everyone new here and love the forums.

I'm hoping someone has tried this or has a better idea. I have a 150 gallon tank set up in my basement right now. I'm also in the middle of finishing my basement. So guess what I need to move it.

Someone told me to try those circle moving pads? But if you know how heavy this tank is it might be asking too much out of those things, but it sure would be great if they could handle it. Anyone try moving it that way?

As you know with the tank fully drained you need 4-5 guys to pick it up and move it. I need to move it from one side of the room to the other.

Thanks for any ideas or help you can give me.

You will need to take the gravel out aswell. The bottom of the tank wont support the weight of the gravel.

Hmmm as someone else stated take the gravel out aswell, I'm not sure on how to move it though, me and my dad carried my 125 in from our garage empty, about how far do you have to move it?(feet wise)

I need to move the tank about 10 feet. It's 150 gallon tank, 6 feet long and sits on a custom stand (2x6's that I built). I'm moving it under the steps, so part of the problem is how does someone stand at the end of the tank that goes under the steps. Unless you try sliding it in place and then try to get those moving pads back out from under the stand.

Or we try moving it in 2 pieces. Put the stand right where I want it, easy to do that. And maybe we can load the tank in from the front, and not be at the ends.

Guess I won't know until we do it. Just thought more people had big tanks that they have moved around within the same room.
