Hi Frank
where did you source your C113? Martin Taylor from Bangor University who attended the CSG convention at the week-end has moved the C113's that Mark Walters has and they have been allocated a CW No. (cw038). His research shows that the two morphs of what were imported as C113's in 2007 are phylogenetically some distance apart. The colour differences quite marked with Mark's having a green dorsal stripe and mine having a light gold almost white dorsal stripe. I didn't get the opportunity to speak to Martin but he did present a poster with the phylogenetic map on at the convention for all to see. He wasn't however a guest speaker but perhaps next year?
Regards

Greetings. My C113's were obtained from Aquarium Glaser.

I also have a group of Mark's CW038's which I obtained from Mark, via delivery by Ian Fuller at the PVAS Catfish Convention in Laurel, MD, this past October. The 2 species do not resemble one another in any respect - not size, color, body shape or markings. I hope this helps. - Frank

Hi Frank
I have always maintained that they were different. I just wondered which ones you had, but I see you have them both.
Mine were obtained direct from Brazil in 2006.

Greetings. I was the first person to get them in December of 2003 from Oliver at BelowWater. Had a dozen, but lost 1 a month for a year. Ian saw them upon his first visit to my hatchery in 2004. - Frank

Some stunning pictures there Frank.

Inchworm. Are blacks that expensive in the US or have they come down in price? I paid £45 delivered for my (non proven but now prolific) breeding group of 6 here in the UK.
