Joule actually played today!!! I was amazed! Normally when she's out of the cage she just sits there with this dumb look on her face...

First she saw Petri trying to get into the "secret stash"

Still not too impressed...

Then causing trouble over by my notes (don't worry, there's nothing in that poor tank, it's a long-abandoned project that never got off the ground)

That seemed a little more interesting, so she decided to come down and take a look (fatty broke the playstand, haha!)

First some fun chewing up skeletal Castro and Gorbachev

Petri is fluffed up and angry about Joule playing with his toys, but he tolerates it

Eventually he joins in

....Don't blame me, it's from Pompeii....

"Come on Joule, let's go play with the beaded spider"

AAAAAAARG, his neck is broken!!!

Just kidding ;)

And because they're cute and I just got the old one a new buddy, the dwarf puffers in the nice tank next to the icky abandoned one

Everything save the Pompei pic looks good and acceptable. :p

Once more, I'll say that you have very cute little guys. *wub*

Have you posted videos, by the way?

I'll remove the Pompeii pic if it offends, I just think it's funny... they were selling those on the street there at little gift booths along with all the other normal tourist items
EDIT: Did you notice it has wings? That's the great part, haha

I have posted a video... it was of Petri doing his trick. I'll try to get some of Petri and Joule just messing around sometime :)
Trick vid

Yay! ^_^ However, was that really his disk? :p

Doesn't offend me, I'd agree with it being funny, though I'd not let my babies (well baby, for me, and she's a hamster) play with something like that, though I'd never own something like that either. *shrugs* :p

Lol, yeah, that was his disk... any of them were, he doesn't know his colours yet :p

I wasn't really "letting" them play with it, it just happens to be my paperweight -_-

Paperweight? :hey: Whatever you say Synirr...

I'm sorry, I'll stop laughing now. Joule and Petri are very cute. Any hopes to get those two to breed? I'm talking about the paperweight again! Seriously, I'll stop.

lljdma06, you're terrible!!
I actually am gonna breed them though, when Joule is old enough. That'll be another 6 month or so :p

EDIT: Whoops, that's monthS, plural.

*snicker*

Your winged things are adorable.

(Oh, how I wish my brother had went to Pompei last year)

 fishkiller_nomore

I can't help but wonder if there's some gigantic sculpture like mine that I missed somewhere. There were plenty of phallic sculptures and paintings in Pompeii, but I don't remember any with wings. I do hear, however, that legend has it the symbol of the city of Pompeii was a winged phallus, but I doubt this to be true. Does explain the unusual souvenir though.

Hehe! We're a funny bunch!

Thanks for the history lesson Synirr!

Hehehe, I don't remember anything that dodgy at Pompeii... Vesuvius, perhaps, but since everyone there was selling 'Roman Erotica' calendars and calendars of the Pope, I don't think that would be suprising...

They're ridiculously cute, they make me want a birdie :shifty:

You don't remember anything dodgy about Pompeii?? Pfft, obviously your tour didn't go by the brothel . The wheel ruts in the stone road outside were particularly deep in front of it, so you know it got plenty of business. There were lovely paintings on the walls so you could just point to what you wanted :fun:

Shouldn't you be studying for finals, Synirr, instead of basking in the birdy praise? :p

It's still there, so I see it wasn't an issue with the mods.

Get another video made when not studying for impending (since you're not in class at 12:20 +/- 1 hour in the morning) finals(s)? :p

Ah, well, thats where I went wrong, the brothel was closed for repairs when we went... Shame really, our teacher was so enthusiastic about taking us there. Damn, I really want one of those now

Tempestuousfury -- Pfft, I had one non-cumulative final about the American political machine. I aced that baby because I'm cynical and already know all about the evils of economic interest groups. One of the questions was:
"Dr. <professor's name> would never win national public office because:
A. He's too intelligent
B. He's too poor
C. He has too many skeletons in his closet
D. All of the above"
He also showed up in a t-shirt and boxer shorts today. I love that prof.

OohFeeshy -- Aw man, that's a shame. That was the best part! I bet you could find a paperweight like mine online if you really wanted
