More Petri And Joule Antics

Joule actually played today!!! I was amazed! Normally when she's out of the cage she just sits there with this dumb look on her face...

First she saw Petri trying to get into the "secret stash"

Still not too impressed...

Then causing trouble over by my notes (don't worry, there's nothing in that poor tank, it's a long-abandoned project that never got off the ground)

That seemed a little more interesting, so she decided to come down and take a look (fatty broke the playstand, haha!)

First some fun chewing up skeletal Castro and Gorbachev

Petri is fluffed up and angry about Joule playing with his toys, but he tolerates it

Eventually he joins in

....Don't blame me, it's from Pompeii....

"Come on Joule, let's go play with the beaded spider"

AAAAAAARG, his neck is broken!!!

Just kidding

And because they're cute and I just got the old one a new buddy, the dwarf puffers in the nice tank next to the icky abandoned one

I'll remove the Pompeii pic if it offends, I just think it's funny... they were selling those on the street there at little gift booths along with all the other normal tourist items
EDIT: Did you notice it has wings? That's the great part, haha

I can't help but wonder if there's some gigantic sculpture like mine that I missed somewhere. There were plenty of phallic sculptures and paintings in Pompeii, but I don't remember any with wings. I do hear, however, that legend has it the symbol of the city of Pompeii was a winged phallus, but I doubt this to be true. Does explain the unusual souvenir though.

The wheel ruts in the stone road outside were particularly deep in front of it, so you know it got plenty of business. There were lovely paintings on the walls so you could just point to what you wanted

He also showed up in a t-shirt and boxer shorts today. I love that prof.
