Molly V Guppy Fry ( Help)

Im new here and new to all this breeding malarky .. Please forgive me if this has been posted before but i am desperate and couldn't find a thread .

My Pregnant Guppy is about to give birth ( Probably tonight ) .. I have 15 baby molly's that were born three weeks ago . I have just moved the Pregnant guppy into a birthing tank but was wondering when she has the babies can i move them into the net with the baby molly's or will i be putting them all in danger

I'm so sorry if this has been asked already ( please don't shout at me ;-( )

Anyone with any help at all , i will be forever in your debt

Cattagoticaly, mollys and gupppies are community fish, they shouldnt beable to do too much harm to one another at such a young age.

Maybe, you should be worried if the guppies are smaller than the molly fry's mouths, but at three weeks, I find it very unlikely that they will be big enough to eat newborn fry. So my guess is that it would be safe!

Be aware that Mollies and Guppies can interbreed, so be aware when they are maturing if you are trying to keep pure lines.

i would keep your eyes on it. how big is your tank beacuse if its to small they may shase one another.

guppys dont usually like to eat fry....so.....i guess they could be safe!!!

Guppies most certainly do eat fry, but because of their generally smaller sizes, they don't have a lot of window to do so before the fry become too large.

I put fry together with no harm. 1 1/2 mth old with newborn and haven't had problems yet. ( mix mollie and guppy). my gollie fry are in a seperate area so I can give special care for them as they are about 3 weeks old.

no they don'y have to but the water quality has to be perfect

Thanks for all your help everyone .. I am trying to learn as much as i can about this as i have never had a tank before ..

My pregnant Guppy died before giving birth .. However . My friend has just been round for coffee and seems to think my other guppy is pregnant ..
