i have one male guppy and two female guppies, also a female silver molly and a new dalmation molly. i got the dalmation molly on saturday and noticed she was a little bit pregnant nothing to worry about, but when i went to feed them they were all normal then at night like about 10pm i seen about 15 babies swimming on the bottom, i was shocked cuase none of my females were really HUGE, and i noticed the fry had tiny faded spots, so i knew it must have been the dalmation. as i was catching them she was dropping more and more. and i ended up with 33 babies that lived. 7 were still born, and one i accidently crushed with one of the rocks while trying to catch it .
so anyway how big are mollies at birth?? i have been breeding guppies for 6 years now, and they are pretty small at birth. the new fry are really big , well compared to what i am used to they are about ---- . should they be bigger?, did she have them premature becuase of the move? or what. and do mollies get like really huge, like my guppies get so big they look like they are gona burst. this is the first time i had a molly give birth in my tank. i have had a molly but she never gave birth.
well thats all for now, any tips on mollys would be greatly appreceiated.
thanks
peace
