I have to questions today. I may sound like an idiot but I have some experience in fish care, just not livebearers in particular.

1) I currently have a brackish tank set up with a juvenile archerfish and 3 mollies: 1 mostly black dalmation, one white sailfin, and a small black one. The black and black dalmation ones are females, I believe. The small black one appears bloated and I have actually been CUTTING DOWN on feeding. However, she has been bloated before and then gotten skinny again. I'm just not sure if she is pregnant.

2) Assuming she IS pregnant, are the fry better off in brackish? My archer fish is currently housed in my 10 gallon hospital tank for fin rot, but I was thinking I could convert it to a fry tank once it is better. I know that adult mollies are better off brackish but aren't their fry born in freshwater? Perhaps this is why she hasn't given birth yet?

Thanks in advance

If she is pregnant, then the fry are better off in brackish water, if you think she may well be just bloated try feeding her some peas, lightly boiled and mushed up, this would help her go to toilet.

alright this forum is always a big help. I am fairly sure she is pregnant this time, but could she even be fertilized by a silver sailfin, because she is an all black normal molly? I would guess so, because how else do they get lyretails and such. She is as healthy as ever and much more active than in my friends 10 gallon freshwater. Only time will tell. I have been feeding her bloodworms every other day along with flake, these are good for the fry right? Or maybe these are what are causing the bloating? Once again, only time will tell, thanks for the help!
