For the last 24 hours ive not seen one of my wrasses ( a yellowy orange colour with a few purple stripes on it) ive done 2 lots of water tests and nothing is wrong with the water....yet

If worse comes to worse is it woth pulling my tank apart to find it if all the water params are ok???

Check around the sides of the tank, it may have jumped.

You could pull the tank apart and find nothing if you have an effetive CUC. I think i would take apart some of my tank to find a fish though. I always think its better to know. PLus your water will be safe then

If you have any amount of CUC + the average LR hitchhikers in there and the fish has died I doubt you would find much of it after 24 hours so personally I wouldnt bother. Do check around the outside of the tank though incase it jumped (assuming your tank isnt covered).

Agreed, 24 hours is a long time. Usually you either find the body, or have ammonia by then. I have a very minimal cleanup crew and when my purple firefish died it was gone in 12 hours, no nutrient problems in the tank other than a quick algae bloom a few days later...

ive had a check around the tank and cant see anything so ime guessing its still in the tank. done more tests and there are no spikes of anything so i guess its safe to say that the tanks gonna be alrite.

look hard around your tank haha...do you have any cats or dogs maybe ate it if it jumped out? i had 2 firefish jump out didnt find them for 2 days turned out they jumped out and landed next to my computer mouse
