Might Go For It.....

Cool, the reason why im asking all this is because my boss was busy and he couldnt talk to me  I work there so he wot be charging extra for the coral on it. I get RO,live food and tons of discount off fish and dry goods :yahoo:

Getting the tank, sand,RO,LR,salt and powerhead etc tomorrow! :hyper:
Ill be doing a journal in the journal bit so keep an eye out incase i need any help ;)

Was at the LFS and was looking at the LR; there was like white patches on some...is this alright? It looks like its covered in (a crappy description) limescale... There was types of coral on it,that looked like purple mushroom ones. Are these alright to add to a new tank? The rock is cured for there to be fish and stuff in with it..right?
The LR rock looked similar to this (the white stuff) http://www.livestockusa.org/marshallrock3.jpg

Those "purple musrooms" might be corraline algae, pretty much the only algae you want. If it's flat against the rock, its corraline, if it's raised a little (with a small gap between rock and object) then it could be a mushroom coral. Mostlikely corraline though, LR usually allways has corraline on it.

Good luck on the tank.
