Usualy Mbuna will interbreed an make hybrids but ive been buying mine in WC pairs and havent had any problems between species. one thing i would say seeing as you havent got a lot stocked at the moment is dont waste space on fish you dont want. its easy to walk into your lfs and just buy something that looks allright. i wont even think of buying 90 percent of mbuna i see today. you've got a good oppertunity to stock it with some real gems!
