Methylene Blue???

Does anybody who has used Methylene Blue know roughly how many water changes it will take to remove it? Having done more research I have discovered that Malachite Green would be the best medication to try.

Hi...I'm surprised that no one has made comments about the ammonia and nitrite in your tank (or did I miss something)? Is your tank cycling? Methylene blue will do nothing to help your fish in this situation...it is used to reverse or prevent hemoglobin...which carries and releases oxygen...from becoming methemoglogin (which will not 'hold' oxygen). It's most common use is in shipping fish ...it can help the fish to survive the long trip when it is immersed in a bag with low oxygen and ammonia).

Malechite green (no relationship to the stone) is the best chemical product available to treat ich. SH
