I've been pondering the idea of putting up a small rack of tanks behind my office door.

It would measure around 32 inches wide, 15 inches deep and from floor to ceiling with a small cupboard at top and bottom.

I've spotted a few John Allen racks on ebay recently, ex shop tanks, but being a fussy git, i would want brand new clean and tidy tanks.

I'll probably go with wood for the frame but today i investigated the cost of square tubing with simple fix connectors such as the ones found here

I nearly fell over at the price of steel tubing, 8 x 3 meter lengths at £200 and the joints roughtly working out at £6 a pop. A nice idea i thought, but not very cost effective, so i'll be sticking with wooden 2x2's!

Has anyone with a deeper pocket than my own used this metal racking before?
