Fishkeeping Profile: 150gallon, 100gallon, 30gallon & 8gallon freshwater tropical tanks

Favourite fish species: Ricefish/Medaka's, Swordtails, Khuli Loaches, Cory's, Golden & Cherry Barbs, Goldfish (Common & Comet types not fancy) & many otypes of Pleco's. I love Red Tailed Catfish, Shovelnose Catfish & Giraffe Catfish but i don't think i'll ever be able to keep any . Other fish i like but which i don't currently keep: Torpedo Barbs, Guppy's & Platys, Bichir's, Puffers, Gourami's & many types of Killifish, Horse Faced Loaches & Weather Loaches (would definitely like to get a Horse Faced or Weather Loach in the near future though) etc v .

Aquatic Likes: Natural looking tanks which create a great/well-suited habitat for the resident fish to live in, well-thought aquarium stockings, sand substrates, artistic looking drift/bog wood, healthy happy looking fish etc. I like fish with friendly personalities a lot v .

Aquatic Dislikes: Bright multi coloured gravel, Goldfish bowls, naff fish tank decorations (bubble pump treasure chest etc), tiny/shoe box size tanks, un-maintained tanks, unfiltered tanks, overstocked tanks or tanks with poorly researched stocking in general, and arrogant/selfish or know-it-all-but-know-little fish keepers. And children shaking fish transport bags with fish in them.

Aquatic Achievements: Hmmm...I bought 3 female Swordtails once and now i have over 80+ adults & fry thanks to them (value for money lol ?). I'm not entirely sure how many fry there are now, took out 40 from the main Swordtail tank just last week lol .I also brought a Goldfish back to life after over 15minutes of not breathing (still alive to this day too !), rescued a large Common Pleco stuck in a filter box, and adopted or rescued dozens of unwanted goldfish and tropical fish over the years. I'm also in the process of finishing off a 16,000+ liter pond too right now v .

Non-fish related fact: I do lots of volunteer work

Other Hobbies: My main 3 hobbies at the moment are art (mostly drawing), gardening & jewelry making v .

Non-fish related fact...I'm completed the 3 peaks challenge about 3 years ago. This involves climbing the highest mountain in Scotland, Wales and England in 24hrs including the travel.

Aquatic Likes... Well thought out tanks with plenty of room and hiding places, maybe a wooden boat to hide in an' all.

Aqatic Dislikes... Sick fish, cruddy filters that come with instructions to throw the foams away and use zeolite media, convict chichlids in community tanks, no fishing signs, metal divers, unfiltered tanks, unheated tropical tanks, anyfish who eats my tankmates.

Aquatic Achievements...erm, in terms of breeding, i bred dwarf cories and WCMM'S for a while without noticing it. I spent the last 5 years of my life trying to get the pond back into bacterial balance.

Non-fish related fact... over the last year i have put in 5000 hours of volunteer work.

Other Things I Do... Get girls, lose girls, smoke, little things really...

Number of Years in Hobby I got my first betta when I was 16, I've had a couple small fresh water tanks over the years but I just recently got a 10 gallon and am starting to really get into it. (I understand the basic concepts of this hobby and I catch on quickly but yes I'm a newbie)

Favourite LFSI'm still just barely learning this stuff so I don't even know if there's one in the Los Angeles area yet...

Aquatic Likes I guess my taste is rather cheezy... I want to make this ten gallon tank ancient egypt themed and I would like a 20 gallon (or larger) freshwater tank after we get a house that will be pirate themed. I also have that multicolored gravel everyone says they hate. (I love neon colors what can I say?)

Aquatic Dislikes Unhealthy fish, stores that don't take very good care of their fish and you can see the fish eating the dead fish in the tanks.

Aquatic Achievements I don't really have any achievements yet... Marine and saltwater and all these reef tanks I've been reading about are fascinating however, I'm going to get really good at freshwater first. (plus it seems to be a hell of a lot more affordable)

Non-fish related fact I work in the pet care industy as a dog groomer. I went to school for graphic design and intend to go back to college soon.

Other Hobbies Art (all kinds), Music, Drum & Bugle Corps, Video Games (I love my xbox 360 and nintendo 3DS), my two dogs Pandora (Rottweiler) and Calypso (Mastiff) my cat, Orion (Bombay)... I love to hang out with my friends, ice hockey, martial arts, I intend to start taking Kung Fu. All this is more than enough to keep me busy and entertained.
